DNA Barcoding

DNA Barcoding refers to the approach of using DNA sequence variation at a specific gene to serve as “DNA barcodes” for characterizing the genetic and taxonomic diversity present in a sample.  We offer a variety of barcoding assays- from the industry’s most common assays targeting regions of the 16S ribosomal RNA gene for bacteria, to ITS for fungi, as well as chloroplast and mitochondrial barcode regions for a variety of applications such as diet analysis and eDNA. For those interested in 16S, we offer a variety of 16S regions to suit your needs.

Genomics, Transcriptomics, and Metagenomics

Leveraging the high throughput and low cost per base pair of our NovaSeq 6000 we offer extremely competitive pricing on shotgun DNA (genomics, metagenomics) and RNA (transcriptomics, metatranscriptomics) applications.  For transcriptomics and metatranscriptomics we offer a variety of library preparation approaches to help you target the RNA population of your sample required to address your specific research questions.

 

Shotgun Genomics

When most people think of genomics they think of Shotgun genomics. This approach involves sequencing genomic fragments of DNA to a specified coverage depth.  We are capable of meeting your genomic and metagenomic project needs, whether it be low-coverage sequencing of eukaryotic genomics, or deep sequencing of metagenomic samples.

 

RNASeq

RNASeq, that is sequencing of cDNAs prepared from samples, is the leading approach for RNA expression studies and transcriptome assembly. Utilizing the high throughput of the NovaSeq, we are happy to assist in completing your expression studies, de novo or genome-guided transcriptome assembly, as well as gene discovery.
